More modeling from Zoe Ford

Photos from the same shoot as last time only this time scanned in from my SLR prints...i much prefer these shots as I'm far more familar with getting the light to do what I want and confident that what i see through the else is what I get on film.

 Compare them for yourselves below.

Photoshoot

Today me and my housemate zoe planned to go out on a photoshoot around the nearby council estate, after about 20 mins we gave up due to the fact it was snowing and we were both far too cold to carry on.
as a comprimise i decided to do a shoot back home in our living room, I remembered we had an old shop poster of a tropical scene tucked away in the house, so with this image as a backdrop, a small desk lamp as my lightsourse and my tripod dug out i proceeded to tae an unplanned shoot of mainly Zoe.
I mainly used my SLR to begin with but burrowed adams DSLR as it was more convinient to use in low light.

I wanted a contrast between winterwear and a summery scene. Zoe is a very good model and I really appriciate her for being so patient with me messing with the camera trying to get the light settings right.

October photos

Ive made 3 concious dessions with photography
1. Not to use didgital except ofr domumentation and when appropriate.
2. Not to plan my photographs in a strict way, set myslef a rough idea and see what comes my way.
3. Always carry a camera.

Recently ive found myself shooting largely under the themes of degredation, manmade marks left behind (e.g. graffiti) urban decay, Street landscapes and Seasonal changes. Its a bit varied but i feel its helping to push me towards new ideas and concepts throughout my studio practice.

Fresh start

Ive been putting alot of thought into my practice and I think ive overcome the worry of being expected to stick to one subject area. I havent been taking the time to draw properly in a long time, doing pretty much none last year.
Here's some recent drawing/ mixed media peices of mine

Modeling

Last week I helped out my friends Pip Johnson and Laura 'Spesh' jacobs who are both on thier second year of photography with a photoshoot, it was a very enjoyable experience and I had a great time taking part and putting my input into thier work. I screenshotted a few shots from Pip's shoot:
