The End Result
I was offered the opportunity to produce this mural through facebook believe it or not,
my best friend's dad asked me to paint a "Tim Burton esk" tree in his newly referbed kitchen.
I was very apprihensive at first and after drawing up some designs and doing a bit of online reasearch I felt comfortable to start work.
I began by simply sketching a rough outline using pencil pen and a trusty graphite stick, I knew this was only a rough outline so concentrated more on filling the space.
I then started to fill as much negative space as i could using a thick brush ( which I ended up killing) The paint I was using was oily and very very potent but gave the right finish in contrst with the enamle white.
I continused to fill as much of the area as possible untill i decided to call it a day, at this stage I was happy with the progress id made yet knew I had a lot left to do.
By the end of the second day I had strengthened the line work on the branches and given my first coat of patch up white.
I was now within reach of finishing by the end of the third day and just needed to finish the job by recoating and twaeking the edges.
I am overjoyed with my edn result and found this a very beneifical experience, Id like to give great thanks to Roger for giving me this opportunity, endless cups of tea and the support I needed. Thankyou very much
and it is awesome. thank you bob!
