Field photography

Yesterday I went on a walk with my lady into some fields just off Henley road - Ipswich.
I found the whole experience very relaxing, after a few minutes walk we found ourselves in total peace and quiet walking alongside vast corn fields and the railway line.
I'm very proud of my Suffolk heritage and found myself immersed in the landscape.
Here are a few photos, enjoy.

Ignore me shoot

I was asked by my good friend Barny to help him out photographing his performance.
Barny wanted to play on the concept of a double negative, buskers are so often ignored by passing pedestrians, yet does including a sign reading "ignore me" reinforce or does it make people double take and therefor pay attention to the activity.

When taking these photos for Barny I tried to keep myself hidden from view in order to remove the presence of the photographer from the equation in hope of maintaining the authenticity of the performance.

To listen to some of Barny's originals check out his sound cloud by clicking here.

New photomontages for 0ninehundred show

My Art collective the 0ninehundred are hosting our second show as a collective in the Playhouse bar, Norwich which lays just across the bridge from NUCA. We left the theme for this show pretty open allowing each of us to display what we wanted to.
I opted to create new work for the show in the form of photomontage.
Photomontage is a medium I feel comfortable working within, I can just lay out my materials put on some music and let the images come together as I go.
For this exhibtion I'm hanging 5 new peices of work, 4 photomontages and one black and white print.

I aimed to convey an element of irony and sarcasum, attempting to adress the constant need for consumerism within modern day western society.

A series of 8 hand numbered prints are available of the two above images and can be purchased this thursday ( the 9th) at the event for £5 any remaining prints will be on sale after the event on my big cartel.
